Long Live Rock
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025
On this episode of Basement’s favorites, we’re breaking down some of our favorite tunes from the latest inductees of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony goes down tonight, and we’ll be tuned in downstairs as long as we can find the damn remote this time.
Not only is the 2025 class strong, but the diversity of sounds, cultures, and backgrounds of the artists sums up what music is all about. We’ll be spinning these tracks for the next few days. We’re not saying you should be too, but you probably should be too. From the earliest days of Rock & Roll with Chubby Checker, to the stage at Woodstock with Joe Cocker, to the Goonies Soundtrack with Cyndi Lauper, to the embodiment of Atlanta Hip Hop with OutKast. This class of inductees has something for everyone. Congratulations to those whose names will be immortalized in Cleveland, Ohio. Not everyone can say such a thing. Pretty cool.
